This is so lowbrow but I can't resist...

GTA4 & MGS4 do not deserve their 10 ratings.

This game, however, fully deserves an 11...

Let me set the stage first. I'm upstairs at my desk in my brand new Ikea chair. Cinn's downstairs in her scrapbook room. Suddenly I hear a huge buzzing noise from behind me...

Panic ensued...

alan: THERE IS A BIG ASS MOTH OF DEATH IN THE OFFICE
cinn: lol
cinn: is it a gypsy moth
alan: ITS F***ING BIG THATS ALL I KNOW
cinn: is it swooping down on you
cinn: lol
alan: YES GOD YES (at this point I managed to swat the bug)
alan: i sees it
cinn: umm hmm
alan: its behind your sewing thing
cinn: sure it is
alan: SHIT ITS WAKING UP
cinn: lol

Cinn came upstairs to find me trying to locate the moth to get rid of it. She laughed at me a bit then went back downstairs, and I eventually found it. I took a pic of it and presented it to her for proof.

Small excessively noisy moth = panicked Alan.

Took the kids to see Speed Racer tonight. Yeah, yeah, I know it got panned, but if you go watch it, go into it knowing it's a family film and not The Matrix. It's basically a 2 hour and 15 minute live action cartoon and they made sure it looked as fake as possible, but it's a good kind of fake.

When it was over and we were heading out I turned to the kids and asked them what they thought about it, and with big grins they said it was awesome.

Their enjoyment of it was all the enjoyment I needed to get out of it.
